Kahuina and the Council of State and Territorial Epidemiologists (CSTE) co-designed and launched the Chronic Disease Surveillance Modernization Toolkit from scratch in just five months. This cutting-edge resource provides State, Tribal, Local, and Territorial (STLT) public health practitioners with actionable guidance to modernize data systems and strengthen prevention and surveillance programs.

Kahuina partnered with the Council of State and Territorial Epidemiologists (CSTE) to plan and deliver the Fifth Annual Syndromic Surveillance Symposium—its most attended event to date. Through trusted collaboration and a streamlined planning process, we created an engaging virtual experience that strengthened knowledge sharing across syndromic surveillance practitioners nationwide.

Public health transformation requires more than insight—it requires action. Across numerous projects, Kahuina has led (dozens of?) agencies and (hundreds of?) practitioners in turning data into action by applying a clear, adaptable Data-to-Action Framework. This structured approach enables jurisdictions to translate data into shared priorities, align stakeholders, and drive measurable improvements in public health outcomes.
